Medium Hot Extrusion Press HEP-112/72

Hydron's HEP-112/72 is designed to extrude solder-alloy solid anodes, bars, rods, strips or flux cored rods and wires both for further processing or as a final product.

Unit Description:

Hydron's Medium Hot Extrusion Press is the most advanced solder extrusion equipment available on the market.
It was designed to produce solid and flux-cored wire, rods and bars of small-to-medium dimensions. For larger dimensions and anode extrusion, Hydron offers the Heavy Hot Extrusion Press HEP-112/116.

Quality: The unit allows for front (perfect for bars and anodes) as well as side extrusion (perfect for solid and flux-cored wires). Coupled with the machine, is our unique air-pressurized flux-feeding system, which allows monitoring of the flux penetration into the product cores. The probability of the flux core discontinuity is significantly reduced.

Automation: One of the main objectives was to reduce the nessecity for the operator. The unit has an automatic billet loading system and it can also be integrated with Hydron's CCU-112 continuous caster. HEP can also be fully coupled for autmatic production with wire drawers MWD-112, anode buzz saws BSA-112 or bar cutters BMS-212.
The press uses the programmable logic controlers and an specialised alarm system to enable quick respond to any process variations. Frequency inverter allows for full extrusion speed control.

Efficiency: The unit is the most efficient on the market, enabling solder producer to achieve higher outputs then ever before. We have carefully studied all elemnts of extrusion cycle to reduce all inefficiencies and thus we reduced the cycle time to minimum. We introduced the hinghed piston, which enabled to reduce the idle-run times and also enable to provide longer billets, which, in turn, makes the casting process more efficient. Also, less floor space in necessary to set up the production line.
The unit is also equipped with stepless speed control and frequency inverter. Temperature programming allows to set up pre-heating time, so that the unit is ready whenever you need to start production.

Environment: While high outputs and efficiency are crucial for production levels and profits, taking care of our environment is crucial to everyone. That is why we constantly redesign our units to consume less resources and energy and produce less scrap. The extrusion press is powered by HSS-112, our special energy-efficient electro-hydraulic supply system. Also inlcuded in the unit is the water-saving Cooling Unit CU-112.
