Hydron's Heavy MWD-112/3/12 Wire Drawing Machine is designed to draw flux-cored or solid wire solder within the range starting from 12.7mm (0.5")down to approx. 3 mm (0.125").

MWD-112/3/12 Features:

Unit Description:

The MWD-112/2/3 Drawing Machines are programmable controlled and equipped with automatic stop, stepless speed control (frequency inverter), die pre-pulling attachment and the exit wire spooler (optionally).

The actual input/output wire diameter depends on the set of dies. The unit is delivered with a set of 21 tungsten carbide dies. Diamond dies are available upon request.

For further processing and wire thinning, Light MWD-112/2/3 Wire Drawer or Hydroextrusion Thinning Unit HTU-112 can be used. For wire spooling, it is possible to attach an exit wire spooler, however for higher output and production flexibility, we recommned our Semi-Automatic Double Wire Spooler SW-112/02. Please contact us for details on the proper equipment selection.

Due to the material charactistics, not all alloys can be wire-drawn. Higher ductility (lead, babbit) of materials makes it difficult to avoid occasional wire breakages. All worldwide drawable alloys can be processed with Hydron's wire drawers.
